We’re moving to sunny North Carolina in 2 weeks. I know it seems like a rushed decision but that’s because it kind of is. Life’s been a bit rough these past few months so we are taking advantage of the enormous generosity and support from my parents and instead of renewing our lease here in Cleveland, we’re heading South to live with them for a little while to get our shit together (so to speak). Our shit will still end up in the toilet there, there will be no organizing or collecting of poop, it’s a damn figure of speech people!

I personally, am beyond sad to leave Cleveland. It’s the city that I grew up in, learned how to ride my bike, got pneumonia in grade school, was taught how to make a left handed layup over countless drills in my driveway, played manhunt with the neighbors until we were way too old to be playing manhunt in the neighborhood but it really was a fun game so we just kept playing. Cleveland was the setting of my first drink, my first smoke, my first hangover during church service. I can’t drive anywhere with a 216 / 440 area code and not be flooded with memories of childhood, high school, or this past year back in Cleveland.

The friendships that we’ve made over this past year have hands down been some of the best in my life. I am going to miss everyone so incredibly much and I can’t even begin to process not being around in two weeks.

I was always taught that everything happens for a reason. I have no idea what the reason of this is, but it better be fucking awesome because this move is going to be incredibly rough.

I will always love you, Cleveland. If you could get a decent quarterback by the time I get back it’d be much appreciated.
